Full mouth rehabilitation in Maywood: rebuild your bite, your health and your smile

When many teeth are worn, broken, infected or missing, fixing them one at a time doesn’t work. Full mouth rehabilitation is a single, coordinated plan—crowns, implants, veneers, bridges and gum treatment—done under one roof in Maywood, with IV sedation so it can happen in a few long visits instead of dozens.

What is full mouth rehabilitation, and who is it for?

Full mouth rehabilitation (also called full mouth reconstruction) rebuilds all or most of the teeth in one comprehensive treatment plan. It combines restorative procedures—crowns, bridges, dental implants, root canals and gum therapy—with cosmetic ones such as veneers and whitening, sequenced so the bite, the health of the teeth and the appearance of the smile are all corrected together. At Spring Valley Dental Care in Maywood, NJ, Dr. John Mady, DDS, FAGD, AFAAID, plans and performs the entire rehabilitation in his own office, including implant surgery and IV sedation.

It is for patients with widespread wear, decay, fractures, failing old dental work, or many missing teeth—people who have been told they “need a lot of work” and want it done once, properly.

The building blocks

What goes into a full mouth rehabilitation

Your plan uses only what your mouth needs. These are the tools Dr. Mady draws on—all available in our Maywood office.

Foundation

Gum therapy

Deep cleaning and periodontal treatment first, because crowns and implants placed on unhealthy gums don’t last.

Save

Root canals

Infected teeth that can be kept are treated and crowned rather than pulled. Root canals →

Rebuild

Ceramic crowns & onlays

Worn, cracked and heavily filled teeth are restored to full height and strength with zirconia or ceramic—often milled the same day.

Replace

Dental implants

Missing teeth replaced with implants placed and restored by Dr. Mady—single teeth, bridges, or full-arch All-on-X. Implant Center →

Bridge

Fixed bridges

When implants aren’t the right fit, a fixed bridge anchored to neighboring teeth closes the gap permanently.

Finish

Veneers & whitening

Front teeth refined with porcelain veneers and the whole smile brightened so the final result looks natural and even. Cosmetic dentistry →

Real results

From “I hate my teeth” to chewing steak again

Full mouth rehabilitation is the most transformative treatment we do. Patients arrive hiding their smile, eating on one side, taking ibuprofen for jaw pain. They leave with a bite that works, teeth that match, and—most tell us—a confidence they had forgotten.

Every case in our gallery was planned and finished at 930 Spring Valley Road by Dr. Mady, including the surgery and the sedation.

How it works

Your rehabilitation, step by step

Comprehensive exam

Photos, digital X-rays, a 3D CBCT scan and a full bite analysis. Dr. Mady listens to what bothers you and what you want at the end.

The plan, in writing

Every option explained—what’s essential, what’s elective, the sequence, the timeline and the cost of each phase. You decide with real numbers.

Foundation phase

Gum treatment, extractions, root canals and implant placement, typically under IV sedation. Temporaries keep you smiling and chewing while you heal.

Final restorations

Crowns, bridges, implant teeth and veneers—made by our U.S. lab or milled in-house—are fitted, adjusted and polished. Then a night guard to protect the investment.

Why patients choose us

One dentist can do all of it here

Most full-mouth cases in Bergen County get split between a general dentist, a periodontist, an oral surgeon and an anesthesiologist—four offices, four bills, four opinions. At Spring Valley Dental Care, Dr. Mady does it all at 930 Spring Valley Road.

  • Implants placed and restored in-house. Associate Fellow, American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
  • IV sedation by the treating dentist. Licensed in New Jersey; no outside anesthesiologist to schedule.
  • Digital workflow. Intraoral scanning and 3D imaging for accurate planning and restorations that fit.
  • Premium materials. Zirconia and ceramic from Glidewell Laboratories; Hiossen implants; no stock parts.
  • Honest sequencing. Essentials first; elective steps clearly labeled so you can pace the investment.
  • A practice since 1977. We’ll still be here for your checkups long after the rehabilitation is done.

Why Bergen County patients trust our team

“Dr. Mady and staff were exceptional. I had a dental bone graft, a tooth pulled, and some fillings. Dr. Mady has certainly got a grasp on his craft. For the amount of work done I was in and out of the office in good time.”
Dan McDonnellGoogle review
“Been coming here for years and this place never disappoints. I accidentally showed up an hour early and the entire staff was so accommodating and flexible. Everyone jumped in and helped out, including the Dr. doing my cleaning.”
Nicollette PoveromoGoogle review
“Dr. Mady is the best dentist around, hands down. He has a gentle hand and is extremely knowledgeable. The staff is amazing, they have flexible hours and accept most insurances. I would recommend them to everyone, especially those who are afraid of the dentist.”

Common questions

Questions patients ask us

Don’t see your question? Call us—a real person at our Maywood front desk will answer.

How much does full mouth rehabilitation cost in Bergen County?
It depends entirely on what your mouth needs—a plan built around crowns and a few implants costs far less than a plan that replaces every tooth with full-arch implants. After a comprehensive exam and 3D scan, Dr. Mady presents your options with a written cost for each, and we sequence treatment so it can be spread over time. Dental and sometimes medical insurance may cover portions; CareCredit, Alphaeon and Cherry financing are available.
How long does it take?
Most rehabilitations are completed in two to six months. Simple cases involving crowns and veneers can be shorter; cases with implants include a healing period of a few months before the final teeth are placed. Because Dr. Mady offers IV sedation, we complete a great deal of work per visit, so the number of appointments is small.
Am I a candidate?
You are likely a candidate if you have several teeth that are worn down, cracked, heavily filled, decayed, missing, or restored with old work that is failing—or if headaches, jaw pain and difficulty chewing point to a collapsed bite. Age is not a barrier; overall health is evaluated at your consultation.
Will it hurt?
Treatment is done under local anesthetic, and long visits are typically done under IV sedation administered by Dr. Mady in our Maywood office, so you rest through them. Post-operative soreness is managed with medication and is usually modest.
Do you refer me out for implants or sedation?
No. Dr. Mady is an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and licensed in IV sedation, so implant placement, sedation and the final restorations all happen at 930 Spring Valley Road. That saves you weeks of scheduling and lets one clinician own the result.
What if I have gum disease?
Gum health comes first. Any active gum disease is treated—typically with deep cleaning and, if needed, further therapy—before crowns or implants are placed, because restorations placed on unhealthy gums fail. This is a step some offices skip; we don’t.
Can full mouth rehab fix my bite and jaw pain?
Often, yes. A worn or collapsed bite strains the jaw joints and muscles. Rebuilding the teeth to the correct height and alignment restores proper function and frequently relieves headaches and TMJ discomfort. Dr. Mady evaluates your bite as part of the planning.
Where do your full-mouth patients come from?
From across Bergen County—Maywood, Hackensack, Paramus, Teaneck and Fair Lawn nearby, and Ridgewood, Saddle River, Franklin Lakes, Wyckoff, Englewood, Tenafly and Alpine a short drive away. Comprehensive care with sedation and implants in one office is worth the trip. Free parking on site.
