What is the difference between All-on-4 and All-on-6?
The number of implants supporting the bridge. Four implants, with the back two angled, are enough for many patients; six add support for patients with softer bone, heavier bites or a larger arch. Dr. Mady decides based on your 3D scan—“All-on-X” simply means the right number for you.
Do I really get teeth the same day?
Yes. After extractions and implant placement, a temporary fixed bridge is attached—typically within 24 hours—so you never go without teeth. You eat softer foods while the implants fuse with the bone over a few months, then the final zirconia bridge is made and delivered.
Is All-on-X better than dentures?
For most patients, dramatically. A fixed implant bridge does not slip, click or need adhesive; it restores far more chewing power; it preserves the jawbone that dentures cause to shrink; and it looks and feels like natural teeth. It also costs more up front, which is why we offer financing and an honest comparison at your consultation—including alternatives if All-on-X isn’t right for you.
Am I a candidate if I have bone loss?
Often, yes. All-on-X was designed for patients with bone loss: the implants are placed where bone is strongest and angled to avoid grafting in many cases. A 3D CBCT scan at your consultation shows exactly what is possible.
Will I be asleep during surgery?
You will be under IV sedation administered by Dr. Mady, who is licensed to provide it in our office—you rest comfortably and remember little. Local anesthetic ensures you feel nothing. No outside anesthesiologist, no hospital.
How long does the whole process take?
One surgical day for extractions, implants and temporary teeth. Then three to six months of healing while you wear the fixed temporary. Then a few visits to design, try in and deliver your final zirconia bridge. Most patients finish in four to eight months.
How do I care for an All-on-X bridge?
Brush twice daily, clean under the bridge with a water flosser or floss threaders, and keep your regular checkups. The bridge is removed by Dr. Mady periodically for professional cleaning. With good care, the implants can last a lifetime.
