Dental implant cost · Maywood, NJ

Dental implant costs, explained honestly

Why does one implant center in Bergen County quote half what another does? Usually because of what you can’t see: reused parts, stock components, cheap acrylic, and a dentist who doesn’t do the surgery. Here is what goes into an implant at Spring Valley Dental Care—and why we are neither the cheapest nor the most expensive.

Why do dental implant prices vary so much in Bergen County?

Dental implant fees vary because the components, the lab, and the clinician vary. Some centers lower the price by using unbranded implants, reusing or sterilizing single-use parts, fitting one-size-fits-all stock abutments, and choosing acrylic or low-grade zirconia that breaks. At Spring Valley Dental Care in Maywood, NJ, every implant is a Hiossen implant—one of the most widely placed systems in the world—restored with a custom abutment and a zirconia or ceramic crown from Glidewell Laboratories in California, placed and restored by Dr. John Mady, DDS, FAGD, AFAAID, in one office.

Our prices are comparable to standard implant pricing in the area. You receive one written, all-inclusive quote after a free consultation, and financing is available.

Where the money goes

The four things that determine implant quality—and cost

Only the top tier of implant manufacturers use the highest-quality commercial-grade titanium, back their products with research, and have the market share to keep parts available for decades. Here is what we insist on.

1

The implant

Hiossen® implants—one of the top companies in the world, made of premium titanium with the research and support to back it. Not a discount brand you can’t find parts for in ten years.

2

The parts

Custom abutments shaped to your jaw and gums, new single-use components every time. Never re-sterilized healing collars or stock “one-size-fits-all” connectors.

3

The lab

Zirconia and ceramic restorations from Glidewell Laboratories in Newport Beach, California—50+ years of history, overnight shipping, digital image sharing with our office.

4

The hands

Dr. Mady, AFAAID, plans with 3D imaging, places implants at the proper depth, and restores them himself—so one clinician is accountable for the whole result.

Why the cheap quote is cheap

Shortcuts we refuse to take

  • Reusing and sterilizing old parts. Drills get dull. Healing collars run through a sterilizer come out abrasive, creating a nidus for bacteria and preventing healthy gum attachment.
  • Stock abutments instead of custom. One-size-fits-all connectors irritate the gums and are harder to clean. Restorations should take the shape of your jaw and gums so they integrate seamlessly and feel like part of you.
  • Acrylic or cheap zirconia. Some offices use materials that chip and break. Our zirconia and ceramics come from Glidewell in the USA.
  • Rushing into surgery. Placing implants in a mouth with untreated periodontal disease is a recipe for failure. Gum health comes first here.
  • Improper depth. One or two millimeters is the difference between a healthy implant and a failed one, especially in thin gum tissue. Why depth matters →
  • Splitting the case. A surgeon in one office and a restorative dentist in another means two fees, two schedules and no one owning the outcome.
What your quote includes

One number, everything in it

After your free consultation and 3D CBCT scan, Dr. Mady gives you a written plan with a single all-inclusive fee. For a typical single-tooth implant that means:

  • 3D imaging and digital planning
  • Extraction of the failing tooth, if needed
  • The Hiossen implant and surgical placement
  • Sedation, if you choose it
  • A custom abutment and a zirconia or ceramic crown from Glidewell
  • All follow-up visits through delivery of the final crown

Bone grafting, when required, is itemized so you can see it. Full-arch All-on-X plans are quoted the same way—surgery, sedation, temporary and final bridge together.

A long-lasting implant also means you pay once, instead of redoing shoddy work later.

Paying for care

Common questions

Questions patients ask us

Don’t see your question? Call us—a real person at our Maywood front desk will answer.

How much does a single dental implant cost in Maywood, NJ?
A single implant has three parts—the implant (the titanium root), the abutment (the connector) and the crown—and a fair quote includes all three plus the surgery, imaging and follow-up. Our fees are in line with standard Bergen County pricing for quality implants. After a free consultation and 3D scan, you receive one written, all-inclusive number. Beware of advertised prices that cover only the implant post.
Why are some implant centers so much cheaper?
Common corners cut: unbranded or discount implant systems with limited research and parts availability; healing collars and drills that are re-sterilized and reused, which creates micro-abrasions where bacteria hide; stock abutments that don’t match your gum and bone anatomy; and acrylic or low-grade zirconia teeth that fracture. Some centers also rush implants into patients with untreated gum disease. Cheap implants that fail are the most expensive kind.
What is included in your quote?
Everything for the treatment planned: 3D CBCT imaging, extractions if needed, the Hiossen implant, sedation if chosen, the custom abutment, the Glidewell restoration, and follow-up visits. If bone grafting is needed, it is itemized so you can see it. No surprise add-ons.
Does insurance cover dental implants?
Increasingly, yes—many dental plans now cover part of implant treatment, and medical insurance sometimes covers extractions, grafting or implants after trauma or disease. Our team verifies both dental and medical benefits before you commit and helps you use them fully.
Is financing available?
Yes. CareCredit, Alphaeon and Cherry offer monthly payment plans, often with promotional financing. We also accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express, and can stage larger plans over time.
Why does the lab matter?
The lab makes the part you see and chew with. Glidewell Laboratories in Newport Beach, California has more than 50 years of history, ships overnight, and shares digital images with our office for a precise fit. A cheap overseas lab is one of the most common hidden savings in a low implant quote.
Why do you use Hiossen implants?
Hiossen is one of the top implant manufacturers in the world, made from high-quality commercial-grade titanium with a track record of research and worldwide use. That matters for success rates today and for parts availability decades from now if a crown ever needs replacing.
Can I get a second opinion on a quote I already have?
Yes—bring it to your free consultation. Dr. Mady will explain what it covers, what it doesn’t, and how our plan compares, line by line. Patients from Hackensack, Paramus, Ridgewood, Saddle River, Franklin Lakes and across Bergen County do exactly that.
